Thor, the God of Thunder, is searching for inner peace after the devastating events of past battles. However, his retirement plans are rudely interrupted by the emergence of Gorr the God Butcher, a tormented and vengeful being with a vendetta against all gods.
To combat Gorr’s terrifying campaign, Thor enlists the help of his allies: King Valkyrie of New Asgard, the rock-bodied gladiator Korg, and, to his surprise, his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster. Jane now inexplicably wields the power of Thor and the reforged Mjolnir as the Mighty Thor.
Together, they embark on a cosmic adventure, encountering colorful characters and strange new worlds in an attempt to uncover the mystery behind Gorr’s rage. Along the way, Thor grapples with questions of self-worth and his purpose in this new phase of his life.
